The Dark Knight Rises Footage Rumored To Be Shown at WonderCon With Superman Vs. Elite

Today at the WonderCon sees the premiere of the new DC Universe animated movie, Superman Vs. The Elite.

According to Twitter user @kkjordan, who attended a Star Wars themed party in LA Last night, a “tipsy” publicist filled her in that 1 minute and 18 seconds of The Dark Knight Rises will be shown off at the Superman Vs. The Elite Panel.

Obviously “KK” could have been tipsy herself when she posted this, but there may have been new The Dark Knight Rises footage that debuted at the recent Russian Movie Expo, Russia’s largest licensing expo that sees the likes of Warner Bros., Disney and more flock to show off their stuff. So maybe we are seeing that?

And there is a connection, of sorts, with Superman Vs. The Elite and The Dark Knight Rises, as we learned today that a TDKR photo gallery will be included with the Blu-Ray Combo of Superman vs. The Elite.

If not The Dark Knight Rises, then perhaps footage from DC’s next animated movie may be featured: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1.

Obviously a lot of speculation, but you may want to get in line early for the Superman Vs. The Elite WonderCon Panel, 6:30 p.m. (PST) in the Anaheim Convention Center Ballroom.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012 and is directed by Christopher Nolan starring Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Michael Cain as Alfred, Juno Temple and Josh Pence as a young Ra’s al Ghul.
