[[wysiwyg_imageupload:1093:]]While there is no official word that The Dark Knight Rises and Christopher Nolan will be attending this Summer’s San Diego Comic Con, Warner Bros. will be bringing the final Batman installment to CinemaCon.
CinemaCon, formerly ShoWest, is the annual National Association of Theater Owners convention held in Las Vegas. This year sees over 4000 exhibitors assembling inside Caesar’s Palace Colosseum, said to be the equivalent of the SDCC’s Hall H, for three days, April 23rd-26th.
And this is the first time in ten years that all six major movie studios will be on hand, according to IndieWire.
Warner Bros. was the first to announce their plans with Warner Bros. president Jeff Robinov, Distribution chief Dan Fellman, and International Distribution head Veronika Vandenberg scheduled to conduct an “intro” on The Dark Knight Rises, Dark Shadows and Rock of Ages.
While nothing has been stated about the debut of new footage, the CinemaCon website states later that same day, Tuesday April 24th, a “Major Studio Presentation” and a “Major Studio Screening” are scheduled.
Likewise, Sony, Fox and Universal will be there Wednesday and Thursday with “Exclusive Product Presentations” and highlights from their slate of movies, which could include the Amazing Spider-Man (Sony), Prometheus (Fox) and possibly Battleship, Show White, The Bourne Legacy, Fast & Furious 6 and Riddick 3 from Universal.
