The Dark Knight Rises (2012): Exclusive Rumor On Matthew Modine’s Character Nixon

Today’s NYC shooting for The Dark Knight Rises saw pictures of Matthew Modine hit the net (below).

Modine plays Nixon, a supposed politician and villain.

Well, just who Modine really plays does sound pretty close to that description.

I’ve been told Matthew Modine actually plays a CIA Special Agent who comes to Gotham with a small CIA team to work alongside Commisioner Gordon and his Police Department in bringing down Bane. 

The source was unsure if Modine’s character initially comes to Gotham to capture Batman, but is positive that at the end Nixon works to take down Bane, and realizes that Batman isn’t the threat he is made out to be — after Bane exposes Harvey Dent’s murders.

Again, keep in mind this is just a rumor, but the following images to reveal Modine with a gun who is seemingly working together with Gordon’s Police Dept.
