The Dark Knight Rises (2012): Exclusive Cinemacon Spoilers/Description

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:1560:]]Our source is back yet again with some more information on The Dark Knight Rises.

We just posted an update from this source about the Man of Steel trailer, as well as previously informing you that a reaction from Christopher Nolan’s rough cut screening yielded the following: The Dark Knight Rises is better than The Dark Knight.

Now the source offers the following in regards to the footage that was shown at today’s Cinemacon

To clear a few things up, Selina Kyle doesn’t work at Wayne Manor; she sneaks in posing as a waitress/maid, and then when inside, rips her outfit off so that she has entry into the masked party for the super rich. This is the party scene where she issues her warning to Bruce Wayne (from the second trailer) — of which Bruce Wayne is hosting. Miranda Tate is also present at this party.

Commissioner Gordon is put in the hospital as a direct result of trying to infiltrate Bane’s lair which is set beneath downtown Gotham in the sewers. Bane has complete control of the sewer system and can pop up anywhere in the city making his whereabouts hard to track. The Joker nearly brought the city under his control in The Dark Knight, well Bane does it by blowing everything up and being ruthless.

Our source says the Cinemacon footage is mainly the core of the second full trailer, and there are a fair few shots that are from the first trailer which will be slightly extended, like Bane and Batman meeting in the melee in the climatic battle for Gotham. Also something about a shot of Bruce in the Batcave and new, albeit small, footage of Alfred and Lucius with a bit of John Blake with the shotgun and new Miranda footage as well.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012 and is directed by Christopher Nolan starring Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Michael Cain as Alfred, Juno Temple and Josh Pence as a young Ra’s al Ghul.
