Continuum Gets Green Lit For Season 3 In Canada

Private: HBO Watchmen Trailer Teases “Tick Tock”

Good news for fans of the sci-fi futuristic cop show starring Rachel Nichols on SyFy with Continuum, as the series has been green lit for a third season in Canada.

SyFy picked up the series after it debuted in Canada on the Showcase network, and now Showcase has ordered Season 3.

Syfy also recently green lit the second season of Continuum for its own network, and if everything works out the way it did for the first season, it looks as if they will have more episodes ready to use.

Currently, Season Two episodes of Contiuum are airing in Canada, with Season One already completed on SyFy.

It’s unknown when Season Two will air on SyFy as episodes of Continuum are televised on Showcase first.

Season 3 is due out 2013/14 on Showcase.

About Continuum:

“Continuum” stars Rachel Nichols (Criminal Minds, Alias) as Kiera Cameron, a cop from the future who finds herself trapped in the present day. When a group of fanatical terrorists escapes their planned execution in 2077 by vaulting back in time to 2012, they inadvertently sweep along Kiera, a dedicated City Protective Services officer.

With unexpected assistance from teen tech genius Alec Sadler ( Erik Knudsen, “Jericho,” “Scream 4”), Kiera infiltrates the local police department and forms an uneasy alliance with her new partner, detective Carlos Fonnegra (Victor Webster, “Castle,” “Melrose Place”). Though desperate to get back to her husband and son, Kiera concentrates on bringing down the terrorists before they change the course of history.

“Continuum” is a presentation of Reunion Pictures.  Executive producers are Simon Barry (“The Art of War”), Jeff King (“Stargate SG-1,” “White Collar”), Tom Rowe (“Tin Man”), Pat Williams (“Smallville”); Simon Barry is the writer and the director is Jon Cassar (“24,” “Terra Nova”).
