Below you can watch the Godzilla Comic-Con panel from yesterday which featured director Gareth Edwards, Aaron Johnson, Bryan Cranston, and Elizabeth Olsen.
The panel also featured a first look at Godzilla through an exclusive trailer, one that more than likely will not make its way online.
The Godzilla trailer featured a short battle between soldiers and a spider-kaiju, with Godzilla making his presence known, which you can read all about in our recap.
Following the panel, it then hit the net that the villain of the Godzilla movie might be Hedorah The Smog Monster.
Legendary also brought with them to Comic-Con the Godzilla Encounter which was actually housed outside the SDCC giving fans a look at the history of the King of Monsters. The exhibit also included a concept statue; however, director Gareth Edwards said it's not 100% exactly like Godzilla in the movie.
Speaking of Godzilla, in a recent interview, Edwards described the beast as an anti-hero as well as a wrath of nature.
Two images also leaked which may or may not have been from last year's Con.
Lastly, Legendary kicked things off at Comic-Con with a new Godzilla movie poster giving us a perspective of the size of the monster (pictured right).
The Comic-Con panel also included our first plot synopsis for Godzilla, which is found below.
Here is the video footage of the Godzilla Comic-Con panel:
Godzilla opens May 16, 2014 in 3D starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, and Juliette Binoche, with David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. The screenplay is by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, and Dave Callaham.
An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
