Spoilers for Iron Man 3 follow.
We've heard a few rumors that Iron Man 3 is tied into the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, with most notably Robert Downey Jr. said to be appearing in the James Gunn directed film.
However, there was nothing set up in Iron Man 3 regarding that, and Tony did blow up all the armors, which included the Starboost armor.
In addition, James Gunn has said no Iron Man in GoTG.
But maybe the connection between the two is of the opposite direction with a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy appearing in Iron Man 3?
Well, how would that work?
Kinda simple as the young lad in Iron Man 3, Harley Keener, played by Ty Simpkins, is Peter Quill aka Star-Lord.
Keener could be the mother's maiden name with Harley a nickname, middle name, or what have you.
I'm unsure if, in the comics, Quill's mom's last name has ever been mentioned, but her first name is Meredith.
And I can't recall if in Iron Man 3 they stated what Harley's mom's first name was.
There are a couple similarities between Harley and Quill in that they are both 11-years-old with their father having bailed on them (he's an alien) and is left to be raised by their mom.
And Simpkins and Chris Pratt are both blondes.
There's also a rather interesting recent report which hinted that the Guardians of the Galaxy movie -- takes place in the future.
Worth a thought.
