[[wysiwyg_imageupload:2192:]]Our insider who has been filling us in on various DC Entertainment movies including The Dark Knight Rises and the Man of Steel told us that Christopher Nolan and wife Emma Thomas were wanted on as producers for the Justice League Movie.
However, Christopher Nolan publicly came out and stated that he will not be a part of the Justice League movie, as well as the Batman reboot (which we've been told is not an origin story, but about a Batman in his second year of being a hero).
Actually, Nolan said he wasn't sure where the Justice League movie "rumor" even came from, that he guessed it was a result of being a producer on the Man of Steel.
Turns out the top brass at WB wanted Nolan involved, and Warner Bros. film group President Jeff Robinov had a conversation with Nolan about just that — the Justice League movie.
"It was a conversation we had," Robinov informed the LA Times. "Obviously anything you can get Chris involved in is great."
[[wysiwyg_imageupload:2193:]]With Nolan out of the picture, according to the Times' sources the next time we'll see a new DC Comics film adaptation might not be for 3 years — as no producer, director or cast is connected to another movie save Man of Steel.
The Times goes on to note how different Warner Bros.' approach to comic book movies are compared to Disney's Marvel Studios, as evidenced by trying to include Nolan.
So with Christopher Nolan apparently out of the picture, Robinov says he is ready to get things moving for their upcoming slate of super hero movies, which includes Justice League and Lobo, maybe Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern 2, the Batman reboot, and the sequel to Man of Steel.
"My hope is that over the next month or so," Robinov stated, "we’ll be ready to lay out the plan for the next DC movies."
Almost two weeks ago our source filled us in that a director would be named for the Justice League movie within the next three months in addition to even more information surrounding a DC shared movie universe.
