Star Wars: The Force Awakens International Trailer Is Fan-Made

It seems a lot of folks were really anticipating the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer; so much so that many believe a fan-made trailer is the real thing.

An "international" fan-made Star Wars: The Force Awakens "trailer" was uploaded to YouTube on Monday (the official trailer was released today), with many people online believing it to be legit.

As a matter of fact, the fan-made trailer has amassed a whopping 4.5 million views.

I've also seen people post the trailer on various social networks, with their reaction believing it to be real.

That's not the case, and even the official Star Wars Twitter account has tweeted it's fan-made.

The YouTube user who posted the fan-made trailer even commented, "Now I just can't wait for the real thing!"

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has a December 18, 2015 release directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer.

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.
