The Amazing Spider-Man is not the only comic book movie to get a debut at the San Diego Comic Con, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance will, as well.
Director Mark Neveldine and Briant Taylor's mutual twitter account posted the following:
GRSOV update: this movie is f---ing badass
can't wait to reveal the evolved GR...... comicon seems like a year away
not sure where the last one came from, but this GR comes from nightmares
Now, I'm not totally sure if this is a reboot or a sequel. From my understanding, it does seem like more of a reboot, but they aren't stating it to be so. However, it reportedely won't resemble the 2007 movie. That's fine in my book as I didn't think too highly of it.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance sees Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Cage), hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the devil (Ciaran Hinds), who wants to take over his mortal son's body on the kid's birthday.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance rides into theaters February 17th, 2012 starring Nicolas Cage, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Idris Elba and Johnny Whitworth.
