Batman Vs. Superman star Ben Affleck was a guest on Bill Maher's HBO show "Real Time" where the new Dark Knight got into a heated exchange over Maher and Sam Harris' views on Islam.

Maher asks Affleck why he so hostile about it with Affleck firing back, "It's gross. It's racist."

Affleck then goes on to compare their thoughts with hatred of Jews.

"It's [like] stating you are shifty jew," Affleck said.

"Islam is at this time the motherload of bad ideas," offered Harris.

"Jesus Christ," Affleck returned. "It's not a fact. It's an ugly thing to say."

DC Comics chief creative officer Geoff Johns also fired a few shots of his own in Maher's direction by posting on his Instagram account that, "Maybe Bill Maher should play The Joker," which included an image of Ben Affleck ast Batman (upper right).

Geoff Johns, executive producer on Batman Vs. Superman and the DC films, recently introduced a Muslim Green Lantern into the DC Comics.
