[[wysiwyg_imageupload:5275:]]Joss Whedon and ABC’s S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series may see another character from the big screen assemble as Cobie Smulders lets it be known that there are talks.

Smulders played S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill in The Avengers movie, and now she might be back together with Clark Gregg, Agent Coulson, who will be starring in the series.

The S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot began shooting this week and IAMRogue asked Smulders about the possibility of being featured.

“The commitments to [How I Met Your Mother] don’t affect it,” Smulders said about appearing. “And I can’t really say but there are definite talks about it.”

Smulders also has plans to stay with Marvel Studios for the long haul as she says they’ll have to force her out before anything.

“Oh yeah! I’m very excited,” she said. “I will do Maria Hill until they fire me and hire someone else to do it.”

The S.H.I.E.L.D. series look to debut this Fall on ABC with the pilot directed by Whedon and co-written with his brother Jed, featuring all-new agents including Ming-Na as Melinda May, Elizabeth Henstridge as Gemma Simmons, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, Brett Dalton as agent Grant Ward and Chloe Bennet was cast as Skye.
