Christopher Nolan Rumored For Sci-Fi Movie: Ready Player One

Christopher Nolan may be keeping it cosmic following Interstellar as it’s being said Nolan is up to direct an adaptation of the science-fiction novel, Ready Player One.

The Tracking Board is reporting that Warner Bros. wants Nolan to direct the film, which takes place in the future centering on a teenager and virtual reality.

According to the report, WB paid a significant sum for the rights to Ready Player One and is anticipating a big hit with the novel being such a success.

The current script for Ready Player One was written by Zack Penn, who is known for working on The Avengers, X-Men 2, The Incredible Hulk, Alphas and is writing Pacific Rim 2.

Ernest Cline, a self-professed geek who penned the popular 2009 Fanboys film, wrote the best-selling novel which has been described in reviews as “an adrenaline shot of uncut geekdom.”
