Chris Hemsworth Is Even Bigger: Reveals Extraction 3 Training In Costa Rica

Chris Hemsworth is not done growing.

The Thor star just dropped a new workout video on Instagram, and the physique that had everyone talking somehow looks even bigger.

This time, Hemsworth put a name on the training: Extraction 3.

Hemsworth Reveals Extraction 3 Training In Costa Rica

“A little Extraction 3 training sesh in the blistering beautiful heat of Costa Rica,” Hemsworth captioned the video, tagging his Centr fitness app.

The footage shows a shirtless Hemsworth in a backwards cap working through a poolside circuit, including banded kettlebell side bends at 10 reps per side and banded kettlebell curls with resistance bands looped through the weights.

The veins are popping out of places most people do not have places.

The post racked up 395k likes and more than 8,400 comments in its first 14 hours.

Reports had Hemsworth back in Costa Rica for a surfing vacation.

The vacation apparently doubles as Tyler Rake boot camp.

Idris Elba And Golshifteh Farahani Return For Extraction 3

The caption also works as a quiet production update, as Hemsworth training for the role signals cameras roll soon on the third installment.

And Hemsworth is not going in alone.

“The mission continues!” financier BondIt Media Capital announced on Instagram this week, revealing it is providing financing for “the next explosive chapter of Netflix’s blockbuster EXTRACTION franchise.”

“Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, and Golshifteh Farahani are all set to return for the highly anticipated third installment,” the company added.

Extraction launched in 2020 as one of Netflix’s biggest movie debuts ever, with Extraction 2 following in 2023.

Rake survived yet again, with the sequel ending on Elba’s mystery man recruiting him for a new job.

With Elba back in the mix, that cliffhanger finally gets its payoff, while Farahani returns as Nik Khan, Rake’s right hand.

The Russo Brothers produce the franchise through their AGBO banner, with Joe Russo writing the first two films.

So between Avengers: Doomsday post-production, Secret Wars prep, and now Tyler Rake warming up, the Russos have a full plate.

Netflix has not announced a release date for Extraction 3.

The Thor Muscle Stays For Avengers: Secret Wars

Earlier this month, we flagged Hemsworth packing the muscle back on and pointed to Avengers: Secret Wars, which is expected to film this summer.

The Extraction 3 reveal does not change that read, it stacks on top of it.

Rake shape is Thor shape, and Hemsworth is lining up back-to-back roles that require him at full size.

He remains part of the official Avengers: Doomsday roster, and the actor has said himself that he is not done with Thor.

Either way, the Kockroach cut is officially dead and buried.

Avengers: Doomsday opens in theaters December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
