Chris Hemsworth Confirms He’ll Be In The Avengers 2

For those wondering if Chris Hemsworth will be returning for The Avengers 2, wonder no more as the actor has confirmed the god of thunder will be in the sequel.

There has been question if Chris Hemsworth and Thor will return in the The Avengers 2, slated for a May 1, 2015 release, as there has really been no word of the actor’s return. To add to that, speculation began when director Joss Whedon and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige mentioned the Avengers are a revolving cast, meaning new characters would be coming in as others seemingly leave.

However, that’s not the case with Chris Hemsworth as the actor lets it be known he will begin filming on The Avengers 2 next year.

Speaking with EOnline, Chris Hemsworth answers questions about returning to the Snow White and the Huntsmen sequel with the actor stating he is unsure as he is all booked up with Thor 2 and The Avengers 2.

“I don’t know,” Hemsworth said about returning for Huntsmen 2. “If there’s a hunger for another one. I had a great time making the film. I’m not sure what they plan on doing. I’m kind of booked up in Avengers [2], we do Avengers next year and that kind of takes up most of the year. And then press for Thor [2] this year and it just depends when we can squeeze it in. It’s getting kind of narrower and narrower.”

So there we have it; Chris Hemsworth will be in The Avengers 2.

Other actors confirmed for The Avengers 2 include Robert Downey Jr. returning as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America. Joss Whedon has stated he has big plans for Black Widow and Hawkeye as well, which would mean the return of Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner.
