Chadwick Boseman Cast As Black Panther

Back in August, word first hit about Chadwick Boseman potentially playing Black Panther for Marvel Studios as the actor teased the character while appearing on a radio show.

Now earlier today saw Chadwick Boseman officially cast as Black Panther, which will see the 37-year-old actor star in his own movie set for a November 3, 2017 release.

It’s also speculated we may see Black Panther earlier than that with a possible cameo in The Avenger 2 this coming may, and Boseman will be featured in Captain America 3: Civil War.

“Welcome to the fray, get used to that applause,” Robert Downey Jr. told Boseman when they appeared on stage together at the El Capitan Theater.

Boseman is asked about choosing sides between Cap and Iron Man to which he responds, “Black Panther is kind of his own guy.”

“I’m blessed to be apart of this Marvel Universe, to work with you both, and to make magic together,” Boseman added.

“As you can see we have a hell of a lot of work to do,” Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige finished up with.

Chad Boseman is known for 42, Draft Day, the upcoming Gods and Egypt, Fringe and Persons Unknown.
