Bryan Singer gives an update on X-Men: Apocalypse and lets it be known that he wants Gambit and Nightcrawler in the movie.
Speaking with CinePremiere.com.mx, Singer states the following (translated):
I’m considering Gambit and potentially a young Nightcrawle for X-Men: Apocalypse. I was going to have Nightcrawler in X-Men Days Of Future Past and even wrote a scene, but I felt that we were forcing too many mutants.
Nightcrawler last appeared in the 2003 X-Men 2 movie played by Alan Cumming.
X-Men: First Class saw Jason Flemyng play Azazel, Nightcrawler’s father.
Recently, Channing Tatum said he was interested in playing Gambit as well.
X-Men: Apocalypse has a May 27, 2016 release and will be set in the ‘80s.
