Blade Runner 2099 officially has a premiere date.
Prime Video announced during San Diego Comic-Con that all eight episodes of the highly anticipated limited series will premiere globally on November 25, 2026.
The announcement came during a Hall H presentation featuring stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer, showrunner Silka Luisa, and executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson.
Prime Video also debuted the first official teaser trailer for the series.
Los Angeles Has Been Reborn
Blade Runner 2099 takes place 50 years after the events of Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049.
According to the official synopsis, Los Angeles has been reborn — but not by humanity.
Cora, a fugitive making one final attempt to stop running, assumes a new identity as a Blade Runner. She is forced to partner with Olwen, a Replicant who has only days left to live, as they hunt down a runaway hiding a secret capable of collapsing their fragile city.
Michelle Yeoh And Hunter Schafer Lead The Cast
Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer lead the series, with Dimitri Abold, known for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, and Somewhere Boy actor Lewis Gribben joining them as series regulars.
The recurring cast includes Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke and Maurizio Lombardi.
Ridley Scott Returns As Executive Producer
Silka Luisa serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside original Blade Runner director Ridley Scott.
Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Ben Roberts, David W. Zucker, Clayton Krueger, Tom Spezialy, Richard Sharkey, Michael Green, Cynthia Yorkin, Frank Giustra and Isa Dick Hackett also serve as executive producers.
Shōgun director Jonathan van Tulleken executive produces and directed the first two episodes. Steven Johnson serves as co-executive producer.
Blade Runner 2099 is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Alcon Television Group. The complete eight-episode limited series premieres November 25, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
