A new rumor has surfaced about the Batman reboot, which was initially said to have a 2016 planned release.
However, the new rumor says that the Batman reboot will not see the light of day until “at least” 2017.
Batman-On-Film reportedly spoke with a source in the know that said as much.
So what about the first, post-“Dark Knight Trilogy” solo Batman movie? My FOBOF says 2017…at the earliest.
BOF goes on to speculate the reason being is, if the Justice League movie that is planned for 2015 which features the new Batman bombs, audiences won’t be interested in a Batman movie a year later in 2016 featuring the same Dark Knight.
In essence, they could do a soft reboot two years later with Batman in 2017.
There’s also the fact that Gangster Squad didn’t do all that well at the box office, with a script written by Justice League screenwriter Will Beall.
Or there is another possibility.
We were told the Justice League movie might be moved back to 2016, which if true, would in turn push back the other DC movies back, with Batman 2016 a year later to 2017.
By all the accounts the new Superman Man of Steel movie is looking like a success, would WB go into Justice League if they felt uneasy about it?
