UPDATE 9/19: Matt Reeves has shared a new look at Robert Pattinson’s Batman from the London set to mark Batman Day.
UPDATE 9/14: Production has moved to London, and the first look at Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne puts him in the middle of a Gotham protest with a “Court of Fowls” sign in the crowd. His stunt double, Rick English, is working the London set too.
UPDATE 9/7: Robert Pattinson says the sequel is “quite radical,” telling reporters at the Venice Film Festival that even the playback on set looks different from the first film.
The clearest look yet at the new Batsuit just hit the internet.
Set video from the Glasgow night shoots catches Batman standing in a lit doorway between takes, giving fans their best ground-level look at the suit for The Batman Part II.
“Batman spotted taking a break on the set of ‘The Batman Part II,'” reads the caption from EGG BOY, with video credited to @ciaron97.

True To Reeves’ Word
The clip is dark, but when the suit steps into the light of the doorway, one change is easy to spot.
The ears on the cowl are longer.
That is exactly what Matt Reeves told fans back in July. When the first camera test footage dropped, one fan asked, “THE EARS LOOK LONGER TO ME AM I CRAZY.”
Reeves replied, “You are not crazy,” confirming the cowl redesign along with the custom Panavision anamorphic lenses the sequel is shooting on.
Now the longer ears are visible on a working set, not just a controlled camera test.
Earlier set photos already pointed to smaller refinements, including tweaked armor paneling and slightly different shoulders. The ears remain the one change Reeves personally confirmed.
The man in the suit is Robert Pattinson’s stunt double, Rick English. Per ComicBookMovie, Pattinson himself was not on set for this shoot, despite rumors that he was.
Batman On A GCPD Bike
The doorway clip was not the only sighting of the night.
More footage from the same shoot shows English, in the full suit, riding a GCPD police motorcycle through the set.
“He’s far away and it’s a bit dark for my phone but he’s on a police bike,” wrote Ciaron, the fan who filmed it.
Fans have already connected the moment to Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One, where Batman takes a police bike during his escape.
It also fits everything else coming out of Glasgow. The GCPD opened fire on the Batmobile and chased it through downtown Gotham, and set photos this week showed the car wrecked under the Kingston Bridge.
If the Batmobile is out of commission, Batman needs a new ride. It looks like he is borrowing one from the GCPD.
Where Production Stands
The Glasgow leg kicked off in late August with the battle-damaged Batmobile sliding through fake snow, and road restrictions across the city center run into late September.
ComicBookMovie reports production is expected to move to a new location soon, with cameras still rolling in Glasgow for now.
Robert Pattinson leads the returning cast alongside Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Jayme Lawson, and Gil Perez-Abraham, with Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry, and Sebastian Koch in roles Warner Bros. has not confirmed.
The sequel also has the full attention of the incoming regime. Per our insiders, early internal reaction to the film is “off the roof,” with David Ellison going all in on Batman once the merger closes.
The Batman Part II opens in theaters February 18, 2028. Our full guide to Matt Reeves’ sequel has the cast, the villain mystery, and every set reveal so far.
