The super fans at the “unofficial” Man of Steel Fan FB spotted (Via The Nerdist) the following image from an earlier report back in September.
There be spoilers, so be wary!
Seems someone was walking around Chicago when the new Superman movie, the Man of Steel, was filming and came across the following sign, which reads “Metropolis Will Rise Again.” You might not be able to see, but the logos on the bottom are quite revealing.
One of them is for the “Daily Planet Reconstruction Fund!”
I suppose that means the Daily Planet might get a daily dose of Zod!
Anyway, the Batman mention above is reference to, obviously, The Dark Knight Rises (get it – Metropolis Rise), but also the official movie poster for TDKR is very similar to this upward view of Metropolis.
While Christopher Nolan is working on both films, no, I don’t think Batman will be showing up in the Man of Steel, but it would be cool!
The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012 and is directed by Christopher Nolan starring Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Michael Cain as Alfred, Juno Temple and Josh Pence as a young Ra’s al Ghul.
