Previously:
Marvel Studios has released the first teaser for Avengers: Endgame Encore, and it comes with the date fans have been waiting on: tickets go on sale Tuesday, August 25.
The 33-second spot arrives a month out from the September 25 return, and after a weekend of conflicting reports about whether tickets would go live Monday or Tuesday, Marvel settled it.
Theater listings are already live at AMC, Regal, and Fandango ahead of the on-sale, and they lock in the runtime: 3 hours and 5 minutes, four minutes longer than the 2019 cut’s 3 hours and 1 minute.
That makes Encore the longest Marvel Studios release to date, and those four minutes are the Doomsday bridge footage Joe Russo has been hyping since the spring.
One thing to know before buying: every ticket comes with an exclusive Doomsday look, but IMAX and Infinity Vision screens get a second sneak peek on top of it. The end tag is the premium-only piece.

Four Minutes, And A Second Preview For Premium Screens
Disney spelled out the package at CineEurope: a custom introduction, additional new footage, and a special end tag, exclusive to Infinity Vision and IMAX screenings. We covered the strategy behind that exclusivity in June, and the ticket-launch press release fills in the tiering: an exclusive Doomsday look for every screen, a second sneak peek for premium.
What’s actually in the footage is still unconfirmed. Russo has only said it’s set within the Doomsday story and built as a bridge between the two films.
The rumor mill has filled in the rest.
The most persistent one has Loki showing up at Steve and Peggy’s house to tell them their happy ending has consequences, with other chatter pointing to new material around Tony Stark’s funeral, including a time-travel conversation between Steve Rogers and Scott Lang.
Four minutes isn’t much, but the original had no post-credits scene at all, and Marvel wouldn’t be holding a second preview back for premium screens if it were throwaway.

What Encore Is Really Testing
Endgame finished at $2.799 billion worldwide, and there’s already chatter about the re-release pushing it back past Avatar‘s $2.923 billion.
That would take roughly $124 million from a re-release, a big ask for a movie anyone can stream on Disney+ tonight.
The more realistic goal is Infinity Vision.
Encore plays IMAX in September with no fight over screens. Doomsday won’t have that luxury in December, when IMAX has committed its screens to Dune: Part Three, which opens the same day.
Disney needs audiences to recognize the Infinity Vision badge by then, and a guaranteed-draw re-release with exclusive footage is how it plans to teach them.
Avengers: Endgame Encore tickets are on sale now ahead of the September 25 release. Avengers: Doomsday follows December 18.
