The D23 Expo kicked off Friday in Anaheim, and Marvel Studios came out swinging with an Avengers: Doomsday TVA Experience right on the show floor.
The walkthrough is themed around the TVA’s Repairs & Advancement division and is loaded with screen-used props from the movie.
First Official Look At Doctor Doom’s Second Suit
The headliner is Doom himself, as Marvel has the villain’s hooded alternate suit on display, marking the first official look at the costume.
The cloaked look appears to be what Doom wore in The Fantastic Four: First Steps mid-credits scene, with the classic armor featured on the new poster Marvel released earlier Friday.
The thinking goes that this is the suit Victor wears while winning over the heroes, before the mask comes off, figuratively and literally.
Did Doom Attack The TVA?
New Rockstars’ Erik Voss toured the experience and noticed the TVA set is covered in cracked walls and rubble, with a TVA “employee” insisting everything is fine.
Rumor has it that lines up with the long-running leak claiming Doom annihilates the TVA near the end of the movie’s second act, so consider this Marvel hiding the plot in plain sight.
The X-Men Get Wrecked
The real gut punch sits inside the Repairs & Advancement wreckage: a massive destroyed Sentinel head and a mangled Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters plaque.
The props all but confirm an X-Men universe gets torn apart in Doomsday, presumably as the incursions start swallowing worlds.
Also on display are framed blueprints of the X-Mansion showing the ground floor and first floor, but conspicuously no basement.
Longtime fans know what lives below Xavier’s school: Cerebro, the Danger Room, and the hangar, so the omission reads deliberate.
X-Men Costumes on display
Nightcrawler and Mystique’s costumes are also on display from Avengers: Doomsday.
New Costumes: Sam Wilson’s Cap Suit
Marvel also rolled out more costumes, including Anthony Mackie’s new Captain America suit complete with the shield.
There’s also a New Avengers jumpsuit.
Marvel also has an updated VisionQuest display at the expo.
Standee on display
The Avengers: Doomsday theater standee is also on display, showing Doctor Doom in his throne room.
Fandango also announced that regular tickets are on sale, which includes a world premiere contest.
More Doomsday Coming Tonight
All of this lands ahead of tonight’s Disney Entertainment Showcase at 7 pm ET, where Marvel is expected to show more, though the panel won’t be livestreamed.
A new TV spot and the Doomsday countdown clock morphing into Doctor Doom on Marvel’s YouTube channel have fans convinced a second trailer is imminent.
Whether the rumored X-Men cast reveal happens tonight remains up in the air, as we recently covered claims that Marvel is dealing with casting issues.
Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters December 18, 2026, following the delay that cost Marvel its IMAX window.
