The Avengers (2012): Premiere Reveals Aliens Identity – Spoiler

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:1371:]]Who are the aliens in The Avengers?

The world premiere for The Avengers movie held earlier has seemingly revealed the identity of Loki’s alien army through Twitter.

Turns out it was the Skrulls!

Sort of.

Actually it is the Chitauri — which, in the comics, is an alternate dimension version of the Skrulls.

So Feige and Whedon have been correct all along. Technically.

And they first appeared in Mark Millar’s Ultimates, of which The Avengers and the previous Marvel Studios movies are based on.

The Chitauri are an offshoot of the Skrulls and possess the same shape-shifting ability.

Various reports on Twitter have been stating the Hulk to have a pretty good showing as well, and again, this fits in with the comic books as The Hulk was able to take down a majority of their ships.

Actually sounds a lot like the Ultimate Avengers DVD from a few years ago, which of course is Ultimates. Makes sense.

Still, should be awesome!

The Avengers assembles May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
