The Avengers (2012): New Trailer Smashes The Dark Knight Rises on iTunes; New Record

The recently released trailer for The Avengers smashed iTunes with a new record amount of views: over 13.7 million in 24 hours!

This beats trailer #2 for The Dark Knight Rises, at 12.5 million, which previously passed the first trailer for The Avengers, which was at 10 million.

The Avengers assembles May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
