The Avengers (2012): Alien High-Tech Weapon and More Cap Pics!

Looks like today is all about Chris Evans as Captain America!

Filming in downtown Cleveland for The Avengers has released a slew of pictures, all of which you can find in our Avengers Movie Hub.

Here are a bunch more pics of Cap, but first we have a couple images hinting at just which alien race the Assemblers will be facing.

The first is an image of an actor equipped with a motion-capture suit, most likely representing one of the aliens.

And with the second image we see a first look at an alien high-tech weapon! At least that is assumed, suppose it could very well be high-tech S.H.I.E.L.D. weaponry, as well.

Looks good!

So which way are we leaning in regards to the alien race? Kree or Skrull?

The Avengers assembles May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
