The full trailer for Avatar: Seven Havens is out, and it answers the question hanging over the series since it was announced: when does this take place?
The answer is 225 years after The Legend of Korra.
The trailer puts the number right in the dialogue: “What would you have after two and a quarter hundred years?”
Co-executive producer Sehaj Sethi confirmed it to Polygon, saying the series takes place about 225 years after Legend of Korra ends.
That makes this the farthest point in the Avatar timeline fans have ever seen, roughly 300 years after Aang’s story. For comparison, the gap between The Last Airbender and Korra was 70 years.
The trailer shows what those 225 years did to the world. Civilization is down to seven surviving havens, the old nations are gone, and the Avatar is now feared as humanity’s destroyer instead of its savior.
Korra herself appears in the footage, older and in the Avatar State, as the trailer lays out how this era tells the story: the cataclysm happened, and the Avatar got the blame.
The White Lotus is still around, too, which fans immediately spotted in the comments.

Fans Rush To Defend Korra
The early response is strong. In its first hours, the trailer sits at 1.4K likes against just 64 dislikes, with 181 comments and counting.
A lot of those comments are about Korra.
“Korra Defenders can’t take a break,” reads one of the top comments, at 125 likes.
“Poor Korra, she doesn’t get a moment’s peace, does she? I hope nothing bad happens to the cabbages!” writes another fan.
The time jump itself is landing well. “225 years, we’re actually getting the future vibes in this series,” reads the other top comment, at 126 likes.
Another fan adds, “Clearly, The White Lotus is the only thing that has stayed uncorrupted since The Last Airbender!”
