Andy Serkis Talks Star Wars: The Force Awakens Character & Rumors



Andy Serkis has a mysterious role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (and one in Avengers 2). caught up with the actor to see what they can find out, which included the following:

Serkis confirmed that was his voice in the trailer, and that it was unaltered.

Serkis also said the voice is the voice of his character in the movie.

He only plays one character in the movie.

Says his character “has been through some stuff” when questioned if he has seen some harsh action in the galaxy.

Serkis cannot say if he himself will be featured on screen or as a motion-capture character.

Says he is not leading a band of gymnasts or acrobats.

The movie has always been subtitled “The Force Awakens.”

Revealed people were flying drones into the set to try and catch glimpses of the action. 

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has a December 18, 2015 release directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer.

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.
