Andy Park has landed on his feet.
Five months after Disney let the longtime Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development go, Park has announced his own official brand: Andy Park Art.
The first release is an exclusive variant cover for Marvel Comics’ new Avengers #1, dropping October 6 at 9 a.m. PT at AndyParkArt.com.
“After 30+ years-comic books, video games, to 16 years at Marvel Studios, I’m beginning a new chapter,” Park announced on X. “Andy Park Art is my new official brand. And for the first release, the Inaugural Drop: Marvel Comics’ Avengers #1.”
Avengers #1 Variant Cover Drops October 6
The variant is for the upcoming Avengers #1 relaunch from writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Marco Checchetto, which hits comic shops on November 4.
The new series spins out of Avengers: Armageddon with a rebuilt lineup: Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Miracleman, who makes his Marvel Universe debut in the book.
Park’s cover assembles all six, with Wolverine in his brown and tan costume up front and classic Avengers including Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man faded into the background.
Fans who join The Park List, the site’s email newsletter, get early access an hour ahead of the drop at 8 a.m. PT.

Signed Editions and Hand-Drawn Remarques
The cover is available in both Trade Dress and Virgin editions, giving collectors the choice between the classic comic presentation or a clean showcase of the art.
A limited number of copies signed by Park will also be offered.
On top of that, Park is doing a very limited number of remarques, original sketches drawn directly on the cover. “Each remarque will be hand-drawn by Andy, making every piece a unique addition to the collection,” the site states. “Quantities are extremely limited and will be available while supplies last.”

16 Years at Marvel Studios
Park spent 2010 to 2026 at Marvel Studios, working on more than 40 films and shows and leading 15 of them as Director of Visual Development.
He was let go in April in the Disney layoffs that hit the studio’s visual development team, and in July he revealed his Avengers: Doomsday illustration as his final Marvel work.
Before Marvel Studios, Park drew comics, including a long run on Top Cow’s Tomb Raider, and did concept art on the God of War games. That is the “30+ years” he points to in his announcement.
“As I wrap up my final months here, I’m looking forward to the creative freedom of a fresh start,” Park wrote back in April.
That fresh start arrives October 6.
