Batman Vs. Superman (tentatively titled) gets a new writer with Chris Terrio who wrote Argo for Ben Affleck.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Terrio is coming on board to write a draft of the script based on David Goyer’s screenplay.
It’s said Goyer is busy developing other DC properties for Warner Bros. with mention of Sandman, of which Joseph Gordon-Levitt is attached.
THR says Terrio was brought on board to get the script “in shape” before filming begins. What that exactly entails remains to be seen.
Previous rumors mentioned that Ben Affleck is “taking over production” of the sequel to Man of Steel.
It’s possible that Terrio could be writing a new script that involves more of the Justice League characters as recently Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman; The Flash is rumored, and Jason Momoa is rumored for Martian Manhunter (as well as Doomsday). In addition, it recently became known that Joaquin Phoenix is being eyed for Lex Luthor, who is much younger than both Bryan Cranston and Mark Strong.
Chris Terrio won the best screenplay for Argo last year.
“Batman Vs Superman” has a July 17, 2015 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
