UPDATE, September 7: Arjona took Josh Horowitz’s $500 bet that she’s playing Wonder Woman, and says she knew the role when she auditioned.
An alleged leak of Adria Arjona as Wonder Woman on the set of Man of Tomorrow is tearing across X, and it doesn’t survive a scan.
The post comes from the Culture Cave account, which shared a hooded, cloaked figure in a gold tiara with the caption that Arjona as Wonder Woman on the set of James Gunn’s movie “has allegedly been leaked.”
As of this writing it’s sitting at 3.1 million views, with proposed Community Notes already pending on the post.
The image shows a woman in a dark hooded cloak, head down, the red-star tiara on her forehead and a glimpse of golden eagle armor at the chest, standing in front of gray safety netting like you’d find around a backlot.
It also shows every sign of being AI-generated.
The Scan: 98% Likely AI-Generated
We ran the image through Sight Engine, an AI-image detection service, and it came back 98% likely AI-generated.
The breakdown points to a diffusion model, with GPT the top match at 43%, followed by Stable Diffusion, Grok, and the rest of the usual suspects.
Face manipulation scored 1%, meaning this isn’t a real photo with a swapped face.
The scan reads the whole image as generated.
The picture itself backs that up.
The face has that smooth, painted AI finish. And the armor glows with light that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the frame.
The Timeline Doesn’t Help It Either
Gunn called wrap on Man of Tomorrow on August 26.
As we reported, Arjona’s scenes landed in the final weeks of the shoot, so a genuine set grab had a narrow window to exist at all.
Instead, this surfaces two days after wrap, with no photographer, no agency, and no source attached.
The Part The Fake Got Right
Here’s the thing about a fake like this: it only works because everyone already suspects the role is real.
When Arjona’s casting broke in April, Variety and Deadline printed the character as Maxima, The Hollywood Reporter called it a mystery role, and DC Studios declined to comment.
That label has since quietly disappeared, with Deadline now describing the role as undisclosed.

Arjona has been asked about Wonder Woman on camera at Comic-Con and in print, and has never once said the name Maxima.
And notice which character the fake picked. Nobody generates a Maxima photo.
It all lands in a loaded Wonder Woman week, coming hours after Gal Gadot said she hasn’t “heard anything” from DC Studios since the 2023 promise of a third movie.
There’s an extra layer here, too, since insiders say Man of Tomorrow itself uses AI. Now the fake leaks do.
So file the image where it belongs. The photo is likely generated. The instinct behind it, that Arjona in the tiara is what this movie is hiding, is exactly what we’ve been reporting since June.
