‘Kraven’ Bombing At Box Office: Worse Than ‘Madame Web’

Kraven is bombing big time at the box office, even worse than Madame Web if you can believe it.

Thursday previews are embarrassing

It’s reported the Thursday previews are only bringing in $2 million and that it’s looking like Kraven will only open to a $12M-$13M weekend.

Madame Web actually opened on a Wednesday, Valentine’s Day, with $6 million. It was reported at the time the dad’s and boys showed up (thank you Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney). Well, neither the dads, the boys, or the girls showed up for Kraven. Madame Web went on to open to $15.3M and finish with $100M.

Friday box office is crickets

Kraven‘s first Friday is also reported to be a low $4.7M which includes the $2M from Friday. Morbius‘ first Friday came in at $17.3M. The flick is another bomb from Sony Marvel, opened to $39M and finished with $167M.

Transformers One recently bombed with a $129M worldwide gross. It’s first Friday was at $9.5M. Wow.

Critics, fans don’t like it

The critics also haven’t been kind to Kraven as the Rotten Tomatoes score is at 16%. The fan score also isn’t that great at 69% (that Rhino scene — yikes!).

Sony is now said to be done with Spider-Man spinoff flicks. It’s said Sony will focus on Spider-Man instead. Marvel Studios and Sony are developing Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland. Sony also has the third Spider-Verse animated movie in the works and the Nicholas Cage Spider-Noir series in development at Prime Video.
