Ryan Reynolds Suits Up As Deadpool For Christmas Special?

Happy birthday to Ryan Reynolds who turns 48-years-young today, but it’s the fans that actually may be celebrating with a present from the actor.

Reynolds posted a series of images and video on his Instagram story to celebrate his birthday.

A pair of images caught the eye of fans as they seem to indicate Ryan Reynolds suited up as Deadpool along with Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. Fans seem to think it’s new and that it means Reynolds is releasing some sort of Deadpool Christmas Special. Of course, the images could simply be from deleted scenes from Deadpool & Wolverine.

“That was fun today,” the first image reveals, which is a selfie of Reynolds in the Deadpool suit.

Update: Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld might have just let the cat out of the bag. Liefeld tweeted and teased a holiday announcement for a Deadpool & Wolverine variant Blu-Ray, which we can guess Reynolds might have filmed with Uggams:

The second shows Reynolds with Uggams and states, “Got to see the gorgeous, legendary, one and only Leslie Uggams.”

In the background happens to be Christmas decorations and on the table you can see the Wolverine popcorn container, so we know the pics are somewhat recent.

However, a third image also shows Reynolds wearing the same suit with a jar of “Richie’s Garden Pickles.”

A quick search reveals Reynolds wearing the same suit, posted 12 weeks to an Instagram account that also has the jar of pickles, which was from the filming of Deadpool & Wolverine.

So we’re guessing the images are either from Deadpool & Wolverine, an unused promo, or just maybe, some sort of Deadpool Christmas special or a new promo will be released around Christmas time.

Deadpool & Wolverine is still in theaters and recent hit VOD. The film has brought in over $1.3 billion at the box office. Also starring includes Hugh Jackman, and Emma Corrin.
