Marvel’s Agatha Ratings Plummet On Disney+

Marvel’s Agatha Ratings Plummet On Disney+

Marvel’s Agatha ratings plummet with the release of episode 5, according to the Nielsen charts, which Disney uses and has automatically turned on in your Disney+ accounts.

While Disney has been touting Agatha as a ratings success, it’s quite the opposite, as the series is among the least-watched MCU shows on the Disney+ streaming service. Really, the only bonus for Disney is that Agatha is the cheapest MCU show made compared to the other failures. But what does that mean when no one is watching?

It’s also learned Agatha has lost a lot of the audience that watched WandaVision, which Agatha spun off from.

What are the Agatha ratings?

  • Episodes 1 & 2: 426
  • Episode 3: 365
  • Episode 4: ???
  • Episode 5: 310

The first three episodes of Agatha managed to make the Nielsen charts, but with week four, Agatha disappeared from the Nielsen charts. At the bottom of the list at the time was Unsolved Mysteries with 352, so that means Agatha came under that number.

Sure enough, with the release of the Nielsen ratings last week for the week episode 5 of Agatha was released (Oct. 7- Oct. 13), we see the number is lower at 310.

That number is a lot lower than WandaVision‘s own week 5 of 589 (see below).

Actually, WandaVision‘s ratings improved week-to-week, while we see it’s the opposite for Agatha. The week WandaVision‘s Nielsen ratings were measured was also shorter than Agatha, but who’s counting. The Disney-invested Samba TV also continues to refuse to reveal Disney+ ratings for the Marvel and Star Wars shows.

Update: Agatha sees a jump in ratings with the return of Evan Peters.

WandaVision ratings:

  • Episode 1 & 2: 434
  • Episode 3: 376
  • Episode 4: 431
  • Episode 5: 589
  • Episode 6: 596
  • Episode 7: 720
  • Episode 8: 732
  • Episode 9: 924

Ms. Marvel also had low ratings with half the episodes not making the Nielsen charts and episodes scoring 249, 295, and 357.

She-Hulk also performed a lot better than Agatha with scores in the 400s and even a final episode in the 500s. There is no comparison to the other MCU shows.
