Zack Snyder Fuels Batfleck Return Hype

Zack Snyder Fuels Batfleck Return Hype

Zack Snyder is back with another Batman post, and fans are once again reading it as a SnyderVerse tease.

The director posted a new image of Ben Affleck’s Batman on Instagram, this time featuring the Dark Knight in a moody promo-style shot with “BATMAN” in the background.

Snyder captioned the post, “They were hunters.”

He also used Junkie XL’s “Do You Bleed?” from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, making the Batfleck connection loud and clear.

Zack Snyder Shares Another Batfleck Image

The post continues Snyder’s recent run of DCEU images, which has included Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill’s Superman, a Wonder Woman Crimea shoot photo, Bruce Wayne’s Aston Martin, and the Justice League cast from CinemaCon.

This latest image puts Affleck’s Batman front and center.

The “They were hunters” caption appears to be another nod to Bruce Wayne’s darker worldview in Batman v Superman, where Affleck’s Batman is older, more brutal, and convinced Superman represents a threat the world may not survive.

The use of “Do You Bleed?” also points straight back to Batman’s first confrontation with Superman in the film.

Fans Want The Batfleck Movie

Fans once again flooded the comments asking Snyder to make a move.

One fan wrote, “Make the announcement Mr. Snyder.”

Another said, “Phenomenal shot. The Dark Knight MUST return!!!”

Others pushed for Affleck’s Batman to return to theaters, with one comment saying, “We want Batfleck Back !!! Please bring the best Batman back to the big screens.”

Another fan added, “Just announce the return….we are ready #restorethesnyderverse.”

One of the stronger reactions read, “Best Batman and we f-cking NEED The Batfleck Movie #RestoreTheSnyderverse.”

Snyder Keeps Fueling The SnyderVerse Buzz

Snyder has not announced anything official, but the timing and volume of these posts are keeping fans locked in.

In just a short span, he has posted multiple DCEU images tied to Batman v Superman, Justice League, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne.

Each post has brought the same reaction: fans asking for the SnyderVerse to return, Affleck’s Batman movie to happen, and Henry Cavill’s Superman to come back.

The Batfleck movie remains one of the biggest “what ifs” from the DCEU. Affleck was originally set to star in and direct his own Batman film before the project changed direction and eventually became Matt Reeves’ The Batman with Robert Pattinson.
