Hulu has released the Hit-Monkey Season 2 trailer where we see the animated series comes with the Marvel brand.

Prior to Season 1 when Kevin Feige was taking over Marvel, Hit-Monkey dropped the Marvel brand as it was from Marvel TV, a separate company at Disney, with the two not getting along.

Well, years later that’s all over and Hit-Monkey is back with Marvel. Watch the trailer below.

What is Hit-Monkey Season 2 about?

After a high-profile political assassination goes sideways, an injured hitman hides out amongst a tribe of snow monkeys in the mountains of Japan.

In New York City, Monkey finds a path to escape his life of killing, while Bryce attempts to repair the damage to those he wronged in life. But what will it cost them to undo the past?

The title of the Season 2 premiere is “Return to Sender,” where Monkey makes a name for himself as a hitman in New York City while Bryce tries to reconnect with his daughter. But all that changes when Haruka arrives with Bonsai Master’s sword.

Monkey’s peaceful existence in the Japanese alps is shattered by the tragic loss of his tribe-setting him on a course of revenge and violence in the very world of humans that are responsible for his plight. He’s a killer of killers with a bit of a rage problem. Throughout the series, he must learn to navigate the struggle between his inherently sweet nature and the evil acts he must commit. It’s through his complicated friendship with the Ghost of Bryce (a former assassin and now, Monkey’s unwanted conscience), that will determine whether Monkey will be consumed by his rage or channel it for good. This is the story of Hit Monkey.

Co-created and executive produced by Josh Gordon & Will Speck. The second season of Hit-Monkey is produced by 20th Television Animation.

“New York, same mission. Hit-Monkey returns for Season 2 on @Hulu July 15th,” states the video description.
